HC Deb 18 March 1940 vol 358 c1627
37. Commander Locker-Lampson

asked the Minister of Food the proportion of wheat imported and milled here, and the proportion before the war?

Mr. Lennox-Boyd

In the years 1933, 1934 and 1935, the last for which figures are available, the proportions of imported wheat used by the grain milling trade were 90.8 per cent., 88.9 per cent. and 86.4 per cent., respectively. There is no reason to suppose they have altered significantly in subsequent years.
