HC Deb 18 March 1940 vol 358 cc1637-8
53. Mr. Lipson

asked the Minister of Supply whether he is now able to announce the promised remedy for the abuse by timber merchants of the right to charge 20 per cent. above the controlled price for lots of timber below the value of £15?

50. Mr. Leonard

asked the Minister of Supply whether he intends in the near future to issue a further timber supply order containing a provision designed to prevent the splitting-up of orders into small delivery notes to secure the extra charge of 20 per cent.?

Mr. Burgin

I hope to be able to make an Order dealing with this matter in the course of this week.
