HC Deb 13 March 1940 vol 358 c1166
11. Mr. Logan

asked the Prime Minister whether he has considered a letter from the Nationalist members of the Senate and House of Commons of Northern Ireland sent to the Foreign Office requesting an interview to be arranged for them with Mr. Sumner Welles during his visit to London; whether he has sent a reply to that letter; and, if so, to what effect?

Mr. Butler

A letter to this effect, signed by Mr. Cahir Healy, has been received. Mr. Healy has been informed that owing tithe shortness of the time at Mr. Welles' disposal it has not been possible to arrange an interview for him.
