HC Deb 12 March 1940 vol 358 cc1013-4
Mr. Attlee

I wish to ask the Prime Minister whether he has any statement to make on business?

The Prime Minister (Mr. Chamberlain)

It is proposed to suspend the Eleven o'clock Rule to-day in order to obtain the Army Estimates and the Civil and Navy Excess Votes. We also hope to-night to take the Lords Amendments to the Industrial Assurance and Friendly Societies (Emergency Protection from Forfeiture) Bill.

On Friday, questions affecting the Ministry of Supply will be raised on the Report stage of the Vote of Credit.

Ordered, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
