21. Mr. T. Smith

asked the Minister of Agriculture the position with regard to the proposed legislation for dealing with the wages of agricultural workers?

Sir R. Dorman-Smith

I am giving notice to-day of my intention to present a Bill to modify the machinery of wage fixation established by the Agricultural Wages (Regulation) Act, 1924. Copies of the Bill are expected to be available on Wednesday.

Mr. Smith

May we take it there will be no undue delay in bringing the Bill into law, in view of the fact that it is necessary to get a sufficient number of men?

Mr. De la Bère

May I again draw your attention, Mr. Speaker, to the fact that no real attempt has been made to give an answer to Question 19?
