§ The Prime MinisterI do not consider that a Select Committee would be an appropriate instrument for the purpose indicated. The responsibilites of organising administration must rest with the Government, and adjustments are made in the co-ordination of the work of Government Departments from time to time as experience shows them to be needed.
Miss WardWould my right hon. Friend consider whether the Board of Education's powers are actually the same as those of the Ministry of Health in regard to the provision of education in relation to evacuation? Is he aware that there is a great deal of unrest in the country on this particular point?
