HC Deb 06 March 1940 vol 358 c379
51. Mr. Leslie Boyce

asked the Minister of Food whether he will consult with the British Broadcasting Corporation and other publicity services with a view to giving regular advice to housewives on the lines of the recent broadcast giving advice that fish of certain sorts was at the time cheap and plentiful?

Mr. W. S. Morrison

It is the practice of my Department to issue announcements regarding favourable supplies in the food markets. Regular advice is given by the B.B.C. on market conditions, and other matters of interest concerning food supplies, in broadcast talks specially designed for housewives.
