HC Deb 12 June 1940 vol 361 cc1242-3
3. Mr. Lewis

asked the Secretary of State for Air whether he will see that whatever other calls there may be on the Royal Air Force the policy of bombing military objectives in Germany is continued and increased, on the principle that every bomb that falls in Germany itself is worth two bombs that fall in German occupied territory?

The Under-Secretary of State for Air (Captain Harold Balfour)

My hon. Friend will not expect me to say more than that all relevant factors are taken into consideration in determining operations of the Royal Air Force, and in the selection of bombing objectives.
