§ 75. Mr. J. Morgan(for Mr. Arthur Henderson) asked the Under-Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs whether the work of the Solidarity Committee of the United Associations of Great Britain and France, presided over by Lord Derby, has received the support of His Majesty's Government?
§ Mr. ButlerYes, Sir. His Majesty's Government are in full sympathy with this work and have decided to make a grant of £25,000 to the committee. They trust that the House will approve the necessary provision in a forthcoming Supplementary Estimate. This sum will be devoted in particular to the valuable work which the committee has been performing among French civilian evacuees in South-Western France in collaboration with the French Section of the International Commission for Refugees.
