§ Sir J. Smedley Crookeasked the President of the Board of Trade whether, in view of the proved profiteering existing, he will consider the advisability of taking steps to amend the Prices of Goods 1112 Act, giving power to the regional advisory committees to prosecute offenders in suitable cases?
§ Sir A. DuncanI cannot accept the implication of my hon. Friend's question. The Prices of Goods Act is working satisfactorily, and it would not be desirable to empower local Price Regulation Committees to institute prosecutions without reference to the Central Committee.
