Captain BalfourAt present 10 officers are employed in the branch referred to by the hon. Member, the total annual cost of their emoluments being £6,000. One of them has flying qualifications. It would not be in the public interest to give any further information which might assist in the identification of officers employed in this or any other Branch of the Directorate of Air Intelligence.
§ Mr. HallHas the Under-Secretary assured himself that these officers really are doing work which they should be doing and which could not be done by people who are paid much less and are not officers?
