HC Deb 03 July 1940 vol 362 c819
14. Mr. Ralph Etherton

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Aircraft Production whether he has received any information in regard to the refusal of Mr. Henry Ford to manufacture in the United States of America, Rolls-Royce type aero engines for export to this country; and whether any steps are being taken in Canada or this country to ensure that any works in which Mr. Ford has an interest are rendered independent of his influence?

Colonel Llewellin

As regards the first part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given yesterday to the question put by my hon. Friend the Member for Romford (Mr. Parker). In so far as the second part of the Question refers to the United Kingdom, the answer is in the negative. Any question relating to Canada should be addressed to the Under-Secretary of State for Dominion Affairs.
