§ Mr. AttleeMy right hon. Friend the Prime Minister will make a statement on the war situation as soon as possible. I am not in a position to indicate the likely date of the statement or whether my right hon. Friend will be in a position to give any information to the House this week.

§ Mr. AttleeMy right hon. Friend is, I know, most anxious to give the House all possible information at the earliest possible time, but I am sure the House will realise that he must be the judge of when the time is proper to make a statement.
