Smithasked the Minister of Transport whether it is proposed to issue new regulations in regard to vehicles covered by the Gas and Steam Vehicles (Excise Duties) Bill, and to make any changes in the speed limit, etc., when the vehicle obtains the motive power from a plant carried on a trailer; and can a statement be made on this matter?
§ Captain WallaceI circulated draft regulations to representative organisations on 15th January and asked for their early observations. I hope to receive the outstanding replies in the course of the next few days and shall consider them before finally making the regulations. I am sending the hon. Member a copy of the draft regulations.
