(1) In Sub-section (2) of Section two hundred and seventy-three of the principal Act (which relates to family pension funds)—

  1. (a) for the words "the balance in the hands of the Governor-General on the thirty-first day of March next following the passing of this Act" there shall be substituted the words "the balance in the hands of the Secretary of State in Council on the thirty-first day of March nineteen hundred and thirty-seven";
  2. (b) for the words "three years," in both places where those words occur, there shall be substituted the words "two years";
and in Sub-section (3) of the said Section, for the words "the Governor-General" there shall be substituted the words "the Secretary of State in Council."

(2) The Government of India (Family Pension Funds) Order, 1936, shall have effect and be deemed always to have had effect as if, in paragraphs ten, sixteen, twenty-two and twenty-five thereof, for the words "nineteen hundred and thirty-six" there were substituted the words "nineteen hundred and thirty-seven."—[Sir H.
