asked the Prime Minister what action has been taken by the Assembly of the League of Nations with reference to the proposals of the Bruce Committee, that a central committee for economic and social questions should be set up, to which should be entrusted the direction and supervision of the work of the League committees dealing with economic and social activities?

At its meeting on the 14th December the Assembly of the League of Nations adopted the recommendations of the Bruce Report and approved the appointment of an Organising Committee consisting of the representatives of 10 countries, including the United Kingdom, to form the nucleus and to determine the composition of the Central Committee proposed in the report.
