HC Deb 16 January 1940 vol 356 c18
29. Mr. De la Bère

asked the Prime Minister whether he will find time for a Debate for the purpose of considering what steps can be taken to ensure obtaining the maximum output from the farms of this country for the duration of war?

The Prime Minister

I hope that it will be possible to arrange an early Debate on Agriculture.

Mr. De la Bère

Is my right hon. Friend aware that the farmers are trying to do all they can during the war for this country, and will the Government do all they can for the farmers by granting short-term credits and initiating some real policy in regard to feeding-stuffs for poultry and pigs?
