HC Deb 29 February 1940 vol 357 c2251
62. Mr. Joel

asked the Minister of Health whether he is aware of the views of the British Social Hygiene Council, supported by many local authorities, in favour of Treasury assistance to local authorities to enable them adequately to supply treatment for venereal disease and to give essential guidance to young people; and whether he will reconsider his refusal on the grounds of public urgency?

Mr. Elliot

I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Stratford (Mr. Groves) on 28th February.
