§ Mr. E. BrownAt 15th January, 1940, the numbers of unemployed men and women, aged 18 years and over, on the registers of Employment Exchanges in the county of Fife were 4,301 and 1,559 respectively. The corresponding figures for 16th January, 1939, were 8,463 and 1,689.
§ Mr GallacherIn view of the fact that there appears to have been a 70 per cent. reduction in unemployment there, is the Minister taking steps which will reduce the remaining 30 per cent.?
