HC Deb 27 February 1940 vol 357 cc1880-1
37. Sir Joseph Leech

asked the Secretary of State for War whether he will issue to all messing officers attached to the home Forces a general order that food must be served to the men either in a hot or a cold condition, and not tepid; and will he repeat the order every month during the duration of the war so as to avoid tepid food being rejected by the men and so wasted?

The Secretary of State for War (Mr. Oliver Stanley)

I do not think such an order is required.
