HC Deb 27 February 1940 vol 357 cc1900-1
Mr. Attlee

May I ask the Prime Minister what business it is proposed to take in the event of the suspension of the Eleven o'clock Rule to-night?

The Prime Minister

It is proposed to suspend the Eleven o'clock Rule in order to obtain the Navy Votes. We also propose to take the Report stage of the Old Age Pensions Money Resolution, which is exempted Business, and the Committee and remaining stages of the Mental Deficiency (Scotland) Bill [Lords].

Ordered, That the Proceedings on Government Business be exempted at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
