Straussasked the Home Secretary whether the regional advisory committees which were set up to review the categories in which enemy aliens had been placed are still functioning; and, if so, how many aliens with a B certificate have been given a C certificate and vice versa since 1st July?
§ Sir J. AndersonThese committees are still in being, and I am glad to have this opportunity of paying a tribute to the value of the work which they are doing. As the answer to the second part of the Question involves a number of figures, I will, with permission, circulate the information in the OFFICIAL REPORT.
