HC Deb 01 August 1940 vol 363 c1401
52. Mr. De la Bère

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether he will confer with the Minister of Food with a view to securing for the plum growers, 1d. per pound, £9 6s. 8d. per ton, for all plums throughout the country; and also, regarding the prices fixed for farm potatoes for August and September, having due regard to the increased cost of production and the fact that the yield of early potatoes is below normal?

Mr. Hudson

As to the first part of the Question, I would refer my hon. Friend to the reply given to the hon. Member for Brecon and Radnor (Mr. Jackson) on 18th July. I am conferring with my right hon. Friend regarding certain representations which have been made since the potato prices were announced.
