HC Deb 30 April 1940 vol 360 c546
Mr. Attlee

(by Private Notice) asked the Prime Minister whether he can state when it will be possible to make a statement on the position in Norway?

The Prime Minister

I shall desire to make a statement as soon as possible, and although I do not wish to commit myself at this moment to a definite date I expect to be able to give the House further information in the course of this week.

Mr. Attlee

May I take it, while we all recognise the need for care in giving information while operations are in progress, that the Prime Minister will give the fullest possible information at the earliest possible time?

The Prime Minister

Yes, Sir. That is my intention.
