HC Deb 25 April 1940 vol 360 c375
75. Dr. Little

asked the Minister of Supply whether any sites have yet been selected and arrangements made for the erection of factories for war work in Northern Ireland?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Supply (Colonel Llewellin)

In an answer to my hon. Friend on 14th February, my right hon. Friend gave some indication of the extent to which war orders have been placed in Northern Ireland. So far no separate Government factories for war work have been sited there.

Dr. Little

Do my hon. and gallant Friend and the Minister of Supply recognise that in the matter of war work in Northern Ireland the King's business requires haste?

Colonel Llewellin

Certainly, Sir.
