HC Deb 25 April 1940 vol 360 c368
63. Mr. R. Morgan

asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether, to enable preparations to be made by both parents and students, the Treasury, as a result of the re-examination of the issue, will restore the examinations for the Civil Service in the autumn?

The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Captain Crookshank)

As I promised in the Debate on 10th April, the question is at present under active consideration, and I hope in the course of two or three weeks to be able to announce the results of that consideration.
