HC Deb 17 October 1939 vol 352 c660
24. Sir P. Hannon

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether any changes are contemplated in the existing trade agreements with Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; and if it is proposed, subject to war conditions, to maintain trading relations with these countries?

Mr. Stanley

The answer to the first part of the question is in the negative. As I informed my hon. Friend on 26th September, His Majesty's Government are anxious that the trade of the United Kingdom with the countries referred to should continue so far as the circumstances of war permit.
