HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1964 Special Report from the Committee on Public Petitions brought up, and read as follows: — Your Committee have observed the very frequent irregularities in Petitions presented to your House, and especially the non-observance of the rules governing the signing of such Petitions. They are of opinion that these irregularities may well cause a false impression to be given of the weight which attaches to a Petition.
