HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1949
76. Mr. R. Gibson

asked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Ministry of Information whether a decision has been reached regarding the fixing of the midday broadcast bulletin at 12.30 p.m.; and whether he has any statement to make on the subject?

Sir E. Grigg

I am informed by the B.B.C. that they have this point under consideration.

Mr. Gibson

As this is the second time that the question has been on the Paper can the Minister tell us when a decision will be reached, as this is a matter of very great importance to millions of workers in this country?

Sir E. Grigg

Yes, Sir, I understand its importance and I give an assurance that we shall arrive at a decision with the greatest possible expedition.
