HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 c1963
Flight-Lieutenant Grant-Ferris

(by Private Notice) asked the Financial Secretary to the Treasury whether Members serving in the Fighting Services are to use the rail, etc., travelling warrants issued from the Fees Office when, in accordance with the decision announced by the Secretary of State for War on 26th September, they are travelling in the United Kingdom to and from their units for the purpose of attending Parliament?

The Financial Secretary to the Treasury (Captain Crookshank)

Members, serving in the Fighting Services, who travel in the United Kingdom to and from their units for the purpose of attending Parliament can use the ordinary warrants issued by the Fees Office; but it would facilitate work in the Fees Office if Members would in such circumstances mark the warrant with the word "mobilised."
