HC Deb 04 October 1939 vol 351 cc1932-3
23. Mr. Robert Gibson

asked the Minister of Transport whether he is aware that, whereas there are during the day ample transport facilities both by rail and omnibus between Glasgow and Wemyss Bay, the last train from Glasgow to Wemyss Bay leaves at 6.20 p.m.; and whether he will make the necessary representations to secure that an omnibus or omnibuses from Greenock or Gourock connect with later trains from Glasgow to meet the needs of persons engaged on work of national importance who otherwise have to use motor cars?

Captain Wallace

I am in communication with the Railway Executive Committee and the Regional Transport Commissioner, and will let the hon. and learned Member know the result as soon as possible.
