HC Deb 30 November 1939 vol 355 cc237-8
40. Mr. Gallacher

asked the Home Secretary whether he will inquire into the circumstances in which the Hendon tribunal decided on the internment of Otto Ehrenzweig, a German, in view of the fact that he would appear to be a person of anti-Nazi sentiments and volunteered for National Service in this country at an early date before the outbreak of hostilities?

Sir J. Anderson

I have been informed of the circumstances which influenced the tribunal to order Mr. Ehrenzweig's internment, and I have decided to refer the case to the Advisory Committee.
