asked the Secretary for Mines what proportion of the officially authorised increase in the price of coal to the consumer is due to the increase in the cost of timber, pit-props, repairs, oil and stores, respectively?

The increase on account of stores and timber was 5½d. in respect of England and Scotland and 8½d. in respect of Wales. Nothing was included for increased cost of repairs.
