asked the Secretary for Mines whether he has now considered the representations put before him by the Nottingham Streamline Taxicab Association and other bodies for an increase in the petrol ration for provincial taxicabs; and whether he can now make a statement?

Yes, Sir, I have decided to make certain adjustments in the petrol allowances made to the lower-powered provincial taxicabs to bring them into closer relationship to the allowances made in respect of London taxicabs and the maximum allowance made in respect of provincial taxicabs. I have also made
