§ 10. Mr. George Hall
asked the Minister of Labour whether he can now make a statement on the question of taking part of the allotment made by a man serving in His Majesty's Forces for a dependant into account by the Unemployment Assistance Board in determining the parents' allowance?
§ Mr. E. Brown
I am informed by the Board that the first 7s. of an allotment 384 made by a serving soldier to a parent will be ignored in assessing the parent's allowance.
§ Mr. Charles Brown
May I ask the right hon. Gentleman how he thinks an unemployed man can make a regular income out of an allotment?
