asked the Home Secretary at what date it is proposed to resume summer time after the re-introduction of true time?

Under the Summer Time Acts the date for the introduction of summer time next year would be 21st April. The question whether any earlier date should be fixed will be considered in due course.

Will my right hon. Friend undertake to re-introduce summer time at a much earlier date than usual?

What I will undertake is to collect opinion in good time.
