HC Deb 02 November 1939 vol 352 c2099
50. Mr. Henderson Stewart

asked the Minister of Agriculture whether, in view of the serious depletion of capital in the hands of farmers and their consequent inability to finance the extensive developments required by the Government's programme, he will make an early statement indicating that adequate prices shall be paid for the present year's crops?

Sir R. Dorman-Smith

I have nothing to add to the statement I made on 19th October.
