§ 94. Admiral Sir Percy Roydsasked the Parliamentary Secretary to the Admiralty whether he can make any statement as to the date of transfer of the administration control of the Fleet Air Arm from the Air Ministry to the Admiralty?
§ The Civil Lord of the Admiralty (Colonel Llewellin)It has been decided that the transfer of the administrative control of the Fleet Air Arm to the Admiralty shall take place to-morrow, 24th May. At the same time, the Royal Air Force Stations at Lee-on-Solent, Ford, Worthy Down, Donibristle, and Bermuda, will be transferred to the 2092 Admiralty for the use of the Fleet Air Arm. It is also intended that the Admiralty will take over from the Air Ministry at an early date the Royal Air Force establishment at Lympne Air Station and the lease of the Royal Air Force establishment at Southampton Airport.
