HC Deb 22 May 1939 vol 347 cc1922-5
Mr. Attlee

Will the Prime Minister state what business it is proposed to take in the event of the Eleven o'clock Rule being suspended?

The Prime Minister

It is hoped to obtain the Report stage of two urgent Supplementary Estimates—those for Merchant Ships and Agricultural Machinery. We do not propose to take the Report stage of the Army, Air and Navy Supplementary Estimates to-night.

Motion made, and Question put, That the Proceedings on the Report of Supply [17th May] be exempted at this day's Sitting, from the provisions of the Standing Order (Sittings of the House)."—[The Prime Minister.]
