HC Deb 23 March 1939 vol 345 c1455
68. Lieut.-Commander Fletcher

asked the Minister of Transport whether he has now considered the representations made to him against the proposed no-waiting regulations, and with what result?

The Minister of Transport (Mr. Burgin)

I am not at present in a position to add to the reply which I gave to the hon. and gallant Member on 23rd February.

Lieut.-Commander Fletcher

Does the right hon. Gentleman anticipate that the consideration of these proposals will be a very long-drawn-out affair, as congestion in the streets is getting worse and worse week by week?

Mr. Burgin

No, I hope that all the objections which have been raised to the draft regulations will be examined before very long in a manner which should produce some satisfactory result. I am aware of the problem.
