HC Deb 15 March 1939 vol 345 cc411-2
82. Mr. Leonard

asked the President of the Board of Trade whether his attention has been drawn to the fact that the co-operation of owning and building interests in shipbuilding is being jeopardised because of the uncertainty as to the national factors that shipbuilding firms have to anticipate and the need for an immediate declaration of Government policy on shipping; and whether he is prepared to make a statement?

The Parliamentary Secretary to the Board of Trade (Mr. Cross)

I would refer the hon. Member to the answer which was given yesterday to a similar question by my hon. and gallant Friend the Member for Sudbury (Colonel Burton).
