Mr. M. MacDonaldI hope that an appointment to the post of Labour Officer in Jamaica will be made very shortly, but I cannot at present make any announcement. I consider this post as one of very special importance and the delay in making the appointment has been due solely to the difficulty of finding an officer with the requisite qualifications and experience.
