§ 4."That a Supplementary sum, not exceeding £300,010, be granted to His Majesty, 2054 to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1939, for the salaries and expenses of the Department of His Majesty's Secretary of State for India and His Majesty's Secretary of State for Burma, and grants-in-aid of military expenditure from Indian Revenues."
