Mr. M. MacDonaldThe answer to the first part of the question is in the affirmative. With regard to the second part. I am not at present in a position to make any statement. With regard to the last part of the question, the Government of Northern Rhodesia recently acquired from the British South Africa Company, partly on the basis of a free gift and partly at an agreed price, the surface rights over the whole of the Tanganyika Estate, comprising about 1,423,600 acres, and a large proportion of this area will become available for native occupation.
