HC Deb 28 June 1939 vol 349 cc387-8
3 Mr. Day

asked the Prime Minister particulars of what conclusion has now been arrived at as a result of the military mission which recently visited Portugal for the purpose of considering adequate arrangements for the defences of British and Portuguese colonies?

Mr. Butler

I would refer the hon. Member to the reply given to the hon. Member for Wolverhampton, East (Mr. Mander) on 1st February, to which, for the reasons given, I have nothing to add.

Mr. Day

Are we to understand that all outstanding questions have been more or less settled?

Mr. Butler

Yes, Sir, most of them.
