§ The Prime MinisterI have noticed, particularly in the German Press articles, distorting and sneering at any speeches made by British statesmen which seek to show an understanding of Germany's position. I cannot but deplore such attempts to poison the relations between our two countries, but I do not propose to make representations to the German Government on the subject.
