HC Deb 21 June 1939 vol 348 c2227
45. Mr. Mander

asked the Prime Minister whether he has any statement to make with reference to the staff conversations which have recently taken place in London between representatives of this country, Poland and Turkey for the co-ordination of the forces of the three countries in the event of war and, further, with reference to the British military mission now visiting Turkey for the same purpose?

The Prime Minister

The conversations with Poland and Turkey are proceeding satisfactorily, but, as stated in the answer which I gave to the hon. Member on 7th June, it would not be in the public interest to give any detailed particulars.

Mr. Mander

Would it be safe to assume that mutually satisfactory arrangements have been made to deal with any eventualities?
