§ 29. Lieut.-Colonel Heneageasked the Secretary of State for War whether the new regulations governing the promotion of Army officers apply to officers of the Regular Army Reserve of Officers returning voluntarily or otherwise for re-employment, and if so, will they be entitled to count their previous service?
§ Mr. Hore-BelishaNo, Sir. The service of retired officers while re-employed will not reckon for promotion, retired pay or gratuity. Officers who retired after 1st August, 1938, have, of course, already benefited by the "new conditions of service."
