Friend the Secretary of State for the Colonies said in reply to a question on 7th June, pending the receipt of proposals which are now under consideration by the appropriate Refugee Organisations for the settlement of refugees in British Guiana, His Majesty's Government do not feel able to consider any other schemes for settlement within the Colony.
