§ Mr. PeakeIt is the duty of the chief officer of police, in consultation with the returning officers, to take such steps as are necessary for the preservation of order and the prevention of disturbance at polling stations. My right hon. Friend is not aware of the need for any further instructions but he will be happy to consider any information on the subject which the hon. Member wishes to send to him.
